A remote medical consultation was successfully held between a Chinese hospital and a major hospital in Mozambique, as part of ongoing medical cooperation. Specialists from both sides, including surgeons, orthopaedists, and neurosurgeons, participated in the session. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
The discussion focused on complex cases, covering diagnosis, treatment approaches, surgical difficulties, and resource limitations. Mozambican medical professionals highlighted the value of the exchange, noting it provided expert insights and practical solutions for challenging scenarios.
The event reinforced the importance of international cooperation in improving clinical expertise and advancing healthcare in resource-constrained settings. Both sides expressed hope for future consultations to further strengthen cooperation.
Earlier, Chinese scientists have identified microglia – a type of immune cell previously thought to exist only in the brain and spinal cord – within the peripheral nervous system (PNS).
