Vietnam launches 2025–2027 programme to boost domestic market with AI integration

Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved a three-year programme to strengthen the domestic market, encourage consumption, and advance the “Vietnamese people prioritising Vietnamese goods” campaign, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the national supply and consumption network. This is reported by Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.

The initiative targets modern, sustainable market development while promoting local products through nationwide campaigns and marketing activities. For 2025, retail sales and consumer service revenue are projected to grow by 10.5–12 per cent, contributing to GDP growth of 8.3 – 8.5 per cent. More than 50,000 businesses and 15 million consumers are expected to benefit.

By 2027, authorities plan to establish a fully modernised domestic market platform with nationwide retail infrastructure, AI-powered logistics, and integrated cross-border trade links. The goal is to position Vietnam among the world’s top 10 retail markets, supported by innovation, advanced technology, skilled labour, and enhanced competitiveness across industries.
