Belarus and Indonesia have confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the agricultural sector during a meeting in Jakarta. The talks involved Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov and Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan. This is reported by BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.
With food security currently a top priority for Indonesia, both sides discussed practical steps to boost cooperation. Belarus expressed readiness to supply agricultural machinery, fertilisers, and a range of food products, including meat, dairy, and poultry.
Beyond exports, Belarus offered Indonesian partners access to its agricultural technologies and full project support aimed at helping Indonesia strengthen its domestic food production capabilities.
During a meeting with Indonesia’s Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, the two officials explored several promising areas for future collaboration. Ryzhenkov extended an invitation for Sulaiman to visit Belarus at his convenience.
Both countries agreed to explore the potential for mutual agricultural trade and to organise continued discussions on supplying products in high demand across their respective markets.
